holy **** why did the track allow you to run that car. 13's or lower and you have to have a helmet here 11.50's or lower roll bar and i beleive 5 point restraint system, they kicked me off because i went a 12.50 with no helmet back in the day. WTF they were letting you run a 10 sec car with no roll bar or restraints. Glad your ok someone must have been watchin out for ya. holy **** i would have needed a new pair of draws after something like that.

damn!! even though you made out alive, youre not 100% in the clear. I had a class mate in High School that had a minor fall from a motorcycle, who ended up breaking his femur. Went to hospital, got a rod put in etc... went home to recuperate, a few days later he passed away due to a 'blood clot'
Glad you made it out man! Take all the meds as prescribed, especially if they're anticoagulants (blood thinners) etc... Wish you a speedy recovery!

have had it happen before on the feeder on the street. had a 90* turn coming up and the throttle was stuck. i was about 500 feet from it doing 130ish and just pulled it out of gear into neutral. lost the motor but saved the car and me. yes people can make reactions that fast. happens all the time in racing. there are guys that will be going down the track in excess of 150 and get completely sideways and grab their chutes and save it within the 1/4 of a second they have before it gets into the wall. it called weigh your options. if you cant think that fast you dont need to be behind the wheel of a fast car. also, i cant believe you would actually contemplate making a pass in a car that quick thats 20 years old without a helmet. im willing to bet you had stock upper control arm bushings and ball joints. they have been known to claim many cars by going to **** in the middle of a pass.

Well, I just caught that I was called a smartass...
Man... Come on, seriously. You jumped out of a car, a car going 120 mph supposedly.
I've raced a long time, but jumping out of a car was never in my thoughts. I've forwarded this message to like 20 people and they are all in tears laughing.

so it ran off thorugh some woods at 130+, they couldnt find the car that night and it only screwed up the drivers front and screwed your windshield. something smells fishy IMO. if you bailed with the motor running in gear at 130+ the only thing to stop that car would be a ditch, tree, or flip. i would love to hear a random spectators acct of the wreck.

I want to know how you knew your OEM belt was not working? They won't lock until then sense some rapid deceleration. So in your moments before you jumped out of the car how did you determine that it was not going to work?
