Default 60-130 Event (Drag Racing To Follow) - Sept 19, 2009

The suspense has been building, the temps have been dropping, it's time to post details about our September 60-130 event. Rules are the same as always, details below:

When: Saturday September 19, 2009

Where: Lonestar Motorsports Park (Sealy, TX)

Time: Gates open at 2:30 pm and track is hot from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Cost: spectators are $15 and racers are $50 (same as always)

Caravan Info: meet at Frankenstein's Bar/Grill (just south of I-10 off of Mason Rd.) at 12:30 pm and grab a bite to eat prior to heading out to Lonestar. We will leave promptly at 1:45 pm to Lonestar.

The track will re-open at 7:00 pm and will be open to all 60-130 participants to drag race until midnight!

Peter

Its basically a track rental. Its a good deal for those that go to race actually. Relatively small amount of people and the line stays very short, IF there is a line at all...

02 - sounds great...I look fwd to seeing you again! It's been too long...

Pweb - as posted, this is effectively a private track rental for the 60-130 event...during that event, you can run some 1/4 mile passes and then once the track opens you can run into the night...

quick - thanks bud...

GTO - get er' tuned Jimmy!!!

Change to the caravan spot:

meet at Frankenstein's Bar/Grill (just south of I-10 off of Mason Rd.) at 12:30 pm and grab a bite to eat prior to heading out to Lonestar.

RCC - yes, via v-box...it's GPS based.

GTO - off the top of my head I am unsure, I recall in the high 10 second range.

I have one, I was just checking to make sure its what you were using. We had it in my car last weekend while we were making shakedown runs on my car.

The last one reads 4.4, camera would focus on screen in the sunlight.

Nice one... The 4.4 is probably actually a 4.3x because the Driftbox usually rounds up the next tenth.

Kevin @ UGR sent some graphs to Scott on 6speedonline today and it may have a better # than the 3.5sec that they have already posted up in a 6spd Gallardo.

I doubt my car ever sees a 3.5, but hoping for high 3's after a few more trips to track.

RCC, first of all, HOLY **** that is fast. Tell us more details on your car... Manual? Auto? You NEED to bring this car to the 60-130 event on 9/19. Your 4.4 is anywhere from a 4.35-4.44 as the vbox either rounds up or down. The quickest we've seen at our event in Houston has been:

4.51 for a 6-speed shifted car (my Supra)
3.91 for an automatic car (Bob Helms Supra - he will be in attendance on 9/19)

You NEED to bring that beast!

Its a TT C6 that LMR just finished up.We went to a magazine shootout last friday in sealy. I put the vbox in the car why we were making test runs and you can see the results. Car ran 9.40@155mph making some easy passes, 60ft was 1.73, so the car has alot more in it. Its been a long and expensive build so we are taking our time with it making sure everything is right. BTW, the car has a 4L80 conversion and was ran on drag radials.Car dynoed 1023 thru the automatic trans.

Link to the build:

1/4 mile at sealy, very soft launches:

Ah yes, I saw this! You need to bring her to the event, you in? I wish you saved the 60-130 files, I could verify them, make graphs for you and give you an exact time.
