How long has it been? The first few hours are the most important because that's when the bone starts to set itself. Have you tried putting it under ice for 15mins then yanking it straight? I've set a couple buddies' hands back from dislocations and breaks. It should audibly 'pop' back into place.
The ER will cost you a ton more for a few extra hours. There's always a county clinic (cheap or free) but you might leave worse than you showed up
But they can scan, set bones, and hook you up with a Boxer's splint.
No, I'm not a medic. No, I'm not a doctor. I've just spent a lot of time doing first aid and volunteering in ERs to become a doctor.

Also depending on the severity of the fracture depends on what will be done. usually hands dont need surgery but some do. Dr's usually like to wait about 3-4 days to do surgery if they do operate because right after a fracture the bone in that area is very soft and sticky making it harder to operate on. Best of luck to you but definately get it looked at asap. its not worth jacking up your hand for life to save some money

Looks like my boxers fracture... I had to get a metal rod in mine... my pinky and index knuckles looked like they shifted about a inch back on both... Had to get a hard cast and I had that thing on about a total of 45 min (The drive home) till I had the dremel out cutting that sucker off... wore a hard cast for 6 weeks and no problems at all.. But word of advice... get it looked and and fixed incase you did break or fracture something and the bones start fusing together messed up... No doc but just my .02 but then again I'm not the brightest.

Here is my pretty little hand. Happened a few days ago and i've ignored the pain/discomfort due to not having insurance.. (my job doesnt offer it
)
If you guys think its broke, i'll got to the ER later to get it checked out.
If it is broke, do you think they will put a cast on it? Ive never broken a bone so I dont know what they do.
The pinky doesnt move up very well, it feels like someone is pushing down on it while im picking it up, like pressure.
Clear Lake Area, any advice on hospitals?

Definitly broke man. I did the same thing. I broke my pinkie and ring finger knuckles. Let them go for awhile cause I didnt think they where broke. Went to the doctor finally and they put me under and did surgery because they said I wouldnt be able to correctly use them again. I let it go to long and it started to heal so they had to rebreak them and put pins in my hand for 3 months I was in a cast with pins. Its called a boxer break. Worst time in my life.

I remeber looking at my grandmas bill from when she spent a few nights because of heart issues, I think it was 2k a night with insurance.
