What was the most powerful LS car last year? The lingenfelter C6Z or the LGM C6Z? Both somewhere around 1000hp with a turbo LS7?

Man, I would love for a shop to take a twin turbo LSX anything to the texas mile.
Well, the LS7 powered RX-7 was damn cool!! Ran 192. Sounded awesome, too!

to be competitive, need to make 1400 rwhp or more and live to do it again, over and over again, not to mention stability at those speeds, and needs to have a 6 speed. Same problem as the vipers, keep breaking those t56s.

The back of it was on fire. They wouldn't bring it in to the pits. They had the transport rig pick it up. I quess they didn't want any bad press. I would be pissed if you caught my new Lambo on fire

The LS powered RX-7 went 196.2mph n/a eventually. Street car with a/c. Driven to/from the event 100 miles from San Antonio and towed down from San Francisco.

There were some impressive vehicles there. Turbo Hayabusa went 259mph!

Congrats Mark. You and Mike were hauling *** in the RX7. Big motor in a small car must have made for a wild ride!

Do you know what gear he is running in the fd to get to 190+?

I've always loved that swap ever since I saw the video from the first Hinson car back in 2005.

what other car blew up this weekend.

I heard that these didn't make it
The Land speed dragster being puleld by the 32 ford - put some nice windows in his block.
A F1 procharged vette from Canada blew a head gasket
A black Porsche from Houston lost his top and motor in the same run.
SW has some valve train noise after his 243 run.
Yellow lambo.
The nice candy apple red truck that flipped.

Any others?

Not really sure. I was pretty busy working on the Duramax Mustang. I know what happened to the Lambo because he was 3 cars inline infront of us when he blew. I went down to help bring the Mustang back and I got a look at the Lambo.

There where two DSMs that broke. One scattered and the other lost a piston.

8.8" Ford Cobra IRS diff with custom axles- 3:55 gears
Crossed the 1 mile marker at around 6600-6700rpm. Pretty much hit the aerodynamic/hp wall. With more distance it would go 200mph I'm sure, or a tailwind, narrower tires, front air dam.

I believe the 194.9mph pass by Mike

This was my first Tx Mile. I was happy to break 200 (202.3 to be exact) with my C6 Z06 APS TT and 190.3 w/ the ZR1. It was great fun and a good learning experience. I didn't go down to set any records, just to drive my cars as hard as I could. Can't wait to go back in March.

I definitely had a blast as well, it was my first time at the mile and there are some amazing cars that come out, everyone is super friendly too. Now I just need a lot more HP and a different car to put it in; my 98 camaro went 168.5 on a stock cubic inch LS2.

Definitely hope to be back out there in March!

Hey there! I stopped and talked to you on Saturday. Great car and run. I loved hearing the GMMG exhaust!! Still amazing that you were the only 4th Gen F-body (at least that I saw run). I plan to come back in the Fall to run my Trans Am.
