The idea has been around for a while, if done right it looks pretty clean. This is probably one of the better jobs i have seen.

thats pretty cool, how do you keep it open? some vice grips on the other end of the wire in the cab? lol

i always wondered why they dont make a manual exhaust cutout that you can open from the inside the cab. I know they have one for 2'' exhaust though but nothing any bigger(last time i checked)

You hook up another cable to the cruise control post and run it up beside the seat lol.

Just tie it in with the throttle and the more throttle you give it the more it opens. You could also get a solinoid to pull it open.

Or you can just tie it in with your e-brake lol.

I do like the idea of hooking it to the throttle. It'd be quiet at idle, but loud as **** when you're gettin on it.

Mine is hooking up with the e-brake. Rear end in the car doesn't work with an e-brake anyways. Ran into some problems brazing so needed some welding work done. Basically the torch and clothes hanger trick didn't work because the metal wouldn't get red hot.

The car goes in the air today to finish up. Post pics or bust

state inspection requires emergency brake to work lol that would be pretty funny to watch the inspector pull up on the e-brake while the car is running

what i would do is get a throttle lever (the type they use on lawnmowers, you push it to how much you want the carb open and it stays put until you close it back) just ride that under the dash

like this but not as huge and goofy, get a really tiny one- I'm sure at sears or some little hardware store
