Roughly how much should this dent cost to fix with PDR?

I have never seen anybody have worse luck with a single car in my entire life. Sorry to hear about the dent man. hopefully they'll be able to get to it through the speaker panel like you said. a buddy of mine had a dent in close to the same spot and the PDR guy had to drill a couple of small holes in his doorjam to get to it to fix it

FYI- If the hot/cold shock is enough to bend metal, what do you think it does to paint?

Try it... but just giving you a heads up.

Btw- that area cant be accessed by taking off the plastic interior panels in the hatch area? I cant remember if it can or not... but something to double check. What if you took off your wheel well and went from underneith?

I didn't see any other openings to that area...

Also, can anyone confirm that this will not mess up my paint?

Also, I went by a few body shops today, and got a few PDR numbers. Only one guy answered, but he has a busy schedule

Well if you screw up the paint, you'd spend a similar amount to have a body shop fix the dent and repaint according to the quotes some of these guys are giving you...

I'm pretty sure it's not going to screw up the paint. The heat/cold isn't going to be any more extreme than washing your car on a 100° day..

Actually, the cold is a bit more extreme but again I'm pretty sure it's not going to damage the paint. I'd try it on mine but I don't have any dents.

And NO I'm not going to intentionally put a dent in it just to see if this works.

you have to hold the can upside down by the way when you push the button.
same thing as dry ice on a hot day to pop smaller dents out.

there is no way possible to tell you yes or no on damaging the paint. it looks to be pretty deep. i really doubt the hot/cold method will work on someting this size.

DONT USE A HEAT GUN!!!

Here's another example and it's a bigger dent. Looks to be about the same size as yours..

Well, $6.50 later... The dent is still there. It was worth a shot though.

OMG $6.50. Just call the PDR guy. We use Dent wizard and think they charge around $100 a panel. Quit being cheap, call dent guy, get panel fixed, post results. Thanks.

You are always on my ***

If you READ the thread, you would have noticed that I went to body shops today, and got their PDRs numbers. Only ONE answered, and he's busy for the next few days. Noone else returned my call. So in the mean time I tried this airduster/hair dryer "trick". Why not try it? Also, obviously the $6.50 wasn't a big deal. Like I said in my previous post "It was worth a shot".

Because you use ls1 tech as Facebook. I agree it was worth a shot. Get in the phone book and look up paintless dent repair. Here is a website of a place that you can go. http://www.carcocollision.com/ When the dent is gone, report back.

You sure you did it right? Heat it enough and hold the air can upside down? Did anything happen at all? I saw a vid where a guy taped a piece of aluminum foil to his car over the dent and used a lighter to heat the dented area (aluminum protects the paint...supposedly) then he used the air can.
