slight surface rust on crank throws - should i worry?
hey guys, bought a used low mileage LS1, the pan is off, everything looks really good and it turns over nicely.
only thing is it has a few small spots of surface rust on some of the throws. it's soaking in WD-40 right now. I tried to get it off with some carb cleaner and a microfiber cloth before and got some of it, but the rest of it just stays on there.
Is this anything to be worried about, or do people run used engines like this?
Thanks for any help/advice
