Huge question PLEASE HELP So i am a college student and im plaining on driving back home to austin for huntsville today and when i went to go get breakfast this morning my battery was COMPLETELY dead. I would go get a new battery for it but remember i am a college student, aka im **** pore lol. Now to my question, if i jumped it and let it run for like 10 mins would it drive back to austin without dying on me? The drive is right at 3 hours fyi. Thanks guys.

Alright guys, Im going to go ahead and drive it around here for about 10 mins first then turn it off and see what happens. If it works out alright ill probably wind up leaving around 2... Thanks guys wish me luck lol
if it still dies, then your alternator is bad....

Using your alternator to charge a rather dead battery, will wear out your alt prematurely, and you'll be stuck having to replace your battery and your alt. In that 10 minutes you drive around, go to a Vatozone and have your battery recharged (it's FREE). Walk around the store for an hour, or take a nap in your car.
