if he really runs 8.1 with those mods then that ****** can drive. he is putting down a whopping 240hp to the tire probly...most 4.6 2v cars would be in the 8.50 range with an awesome 60' with those mods.

Me and a buddy of mine ran across a guy like you at a meet in arlington one night op.. he had a bolt-on ta... my friends car at the time a 03 i believe is the year gt with just 4:10's and a bbk tb spacer beat the hell out of the ws6... granted not normal but dont be a dousche and play his game... if both cars are running simply call him out and race.... if you can drive you car plain and simple you will beat him. Take a camera, video it, and laugh about it later as you replay it infront of him over and over...

I will tell you back when I was racing fox bodies, I tore up a T/A with near similar mods, but he had a cam. I was a C/I GT40 cobra motor, with 3.73 gears, and slicks and I was running the same times as your friend. If you are going to race him make sure its at a 1/4 mile track. I could bust F bodies all day long in the 1/8th. From what I observed the F body does alot better in the 1/4.

i agree with everyone. but at the end of the day its still a 2v... and i have a steeper gear ratio with 100+ hp on him. i have no fear at all, even if he hooks like a bitch, ill still catch him by 30. nittos on the street arnt great but all you gotta do is slip the clutch and bam, your gone. liek i said, ill keep agravating him till he finaly brings it out. and yes IF the race happens, ill have video, from the passenger in my car.

those ls1s you have seen are either trunning like **** or the person cant drive.
both of my LS1's with the most basic boltons in an auto would break 8's easily.

you've obviously never been to the track. you have no idea how big of a difference a good 60ft makes in a race.

i do agree with you, but a good 60ft wont help a 2v vs a damn near full bolt on ls1...maybe in the 1/8th, but not in the 1/4

With you talking about 0-60 times and him talking about his 1/8th mile time, I figured that is what was gonna go down

sorry to double post.. but his alleged 8.1 was with full slicks. i remember asking him once, hey if you ran those nittos what would your time be? and he just avoided it by saying, you would be faster lol..

no freaking joke tho, i just ran a 2v gt on my lunch break. proly like a 60-90 punch. put 3 cars on him ez shut down and gave him a peace sign. he waved. nice kid. i love my 410s, they really make that car get up to speed!!! i do hate however, 4th ends at like 115

the GT was prob. stock and that is your sweet spot, racing from a stop is completely different. I doubt you'll get good traction and he'll prob. rip you coming out the hole.

yea your proly right. trying to put down 368ft lbs with just 275s is pretty hard compared to his mayb 275ft lbs on his 315s.

I can say however, its still going to be like kicking a baby seal once i get traction. and i know how to drive my car on the street!!

You must be racing cars on top of a mountain. Last time out my heads/cam car went 7.1x at 95 mph with a 1.69 60'. I'm sorry your friends can't drive.
