Kiddo? Thanks,at 37 I love being called a kid,and come on with the lt1 thing,my car is a cam only,with stock gears,with tires and my bugs worked out it will run high 7s(woo hoo).I am having fun with yall,I think ls1s are great,if you can get good 60fts out of them,yea they will run #s,street tires stock, no dont think so.

So ive known a guy with a 01 GT for a while now. Hes gotta be one of the dumbest people i have ever met.
his mods: UD pulleys, catback exhaust, TB, 315 nittos, 373 gears, and i think he has suspension. the car has gone 8.1 in the 1/8 with FULL SLICKS.

we were talking the other day, and i mentioned my car can go 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds on the street. its 5.1 stock and the car is def not stock any more plus i have iphone app dinolisious that measured it out to be 4.47 seconds to 60.
FIRST, he tells me in full of ****.. i pulled out my iphone and made his eat his words.Second: he is trying to tell me that he can beat me to 60... i just laughed in his face. hes like, dude, ls1's are slow from a dig because of the tranny gearing, and they are heavy as hell. I even told him that with his mods, on the street running nittos, a STOCK ls1 with drag radials would beat him lol...
i tried to explain to him, that i have a STEEPER gear ratio then him, have proly over 100 hp on him, and over 1 litre of engine to work with. and he just tried telling me that his 373s will rip me... i just dont know wtf ppl are thnking these days
i went as far as telling him that ME starting in 2nd gear, would beat him to 120... and i also told him that i could rape his face to 60, and i would have busses by 100.
why are some people so stupid??
I just told him that my car is sitting out front ready to go and where hsi was, and he stated its in his garage with a dead battery. what a joker
not trying to sound cocky, but just venting. the gf is tired of hearing me make fun of this guy :/

The web has turned to Iphones now to determine who is faster.
His car, depending on mods, is probably putting down 250-265rwhp.
I've owned 3 2v 4.6 mustangs, so I know a thing about them. I didn't race my 1998 svo head/blower car. I had it for about 1 month at 18, had a bad tune, and the motor let go. Sold it.
My 1998 with PI heads(new edge heads) with bolt ons/LT's/Gears went 12.80's at 106-108 with 1.6 60fts. If you want the official internet times of 2v's, just ask. I raced a few NRMA and Fun Ford events. I have kept track with many of the guys that have created the fastest NA 2v's over the last 11 years. These guys are not GM haters at all, they are racers. Here is the list. This list has been compiled by Bill Putnam and many other guys. It includes all the major forums for the last 6-10 years, racing events, and official times. However, many racers don't post on the web. There are many fast weekend warriors out there.
These times are nothing compared to the ls1/6 cars. However, before you know what your car, and more importantly, yourself, are capable of at a real track, I would'nt talk.

Fastest NA/2V is Johnathan from G-Force. G-Force built that car just to set the record.
The new setup in that car is SICK! Should go 9's on motor ALL DAY.
BTW op if you don't have any track numbers better than your buddies, you're car is slower. END THREAD!
Mid 7's is BAD *** for a bolt on GT. (Deep in the 11's)

Exactly, to be honest there is no way his LS car will cut a better 0-60 if his homie is really doing mid 7's.
That's hauling the mail in a 2valve in the 1/8th. In fact I bet his 60' times are WAY more impressive than his 1/4 mile times lol!

my best 60' on motor was a 1.58 on this run..car made 298 to the tire and was bolt ons with cams..person i'm running against had a vt 302 motor

I hear full slicks on basically stock cars makes them REALLY fast!!!! I heard of a guy cutting a 1.15 60ft on a basically stock 6speed Trans Am according to his iPhone... **** was amazing!!!

I'll probably stop by LMR to get some gas and say what's up. People forget that I've known Steven, Josh, Paul, etc... for 7-8 years now. We've lined up against each other and helped each other out plenty of times.
I just give a lot of people crap on here because well I was in the LS1 game before a lot of these members could even drive
I spent a lot of time playing with stuff and getting it all right with the help of many friends. I know what it's like trying to figure stuff out for people, but sometimes **** gets posted where I can't help but make jokes from it.As far as RC's goes there could be a surprise guest in his trailer at Midnight Madness
RC and I met awhile back and we have a few mutual friends from the Diesel world. If you actually meet most of the people from this forum it's really interesting to see how cool they really are in person.
