i have been thinking of passing on my z to my son but there is no way i can give it to him w/the current motor set up. so i have thought of picking up a used 5.3 cheap (+/-$500) to slow it down. if im not mistaken everything should bolt right up in the original locations, right?

I bought a Z28 a while back and someone had put a 5.3L in it previously...I would have liked to have found who did it, flown them into town, punched them in the face, and flown them back home just for my satisfaction. What a terrible idea
I was glad to see that POS drive away after I sold it!

I dont think 5.3's are that bad. This guy here took a junk 5.3 bored it out to a 346 and did this.... and no the car is not full of high dollar parts.
