Just saying...

PS: The Ford GT makes 1600rwhp on turbo only plus they used a 100 shot on top of it. Keep in mind SW's OFFICIAL Texas Mile holding car makes less than 1350rwhp, as I've seen it do it in Mile trim with my own eyes.

I still doubt it'll do 250+ at our Mile event. Hopefully they come and prove everyone wrong.
I've heard they are using a Tag Heuer timing system. They used radar guns at previous events. Other cars were running faster because there was a significant tail wind I think.

Though the Ford GT guys are claiming they will do 260+ next time... LOL!
why should they come to Texas? I'd love for a Texas car to be fastest but they could say SW should have gone to Florida to run against them? That argument makes no sense.

as for 260, did you see the video? that car has a lot left it in if it in fact went 253 on that run.

heck, even SW didnt make any excuses when he saw the speed...he just said he would try to do his best in Goliad

When has SW ever made an excuse, and why would he? That isn't his style...

It is a bad bitch for sure, but it's hard to compare records that weren't obtained in the exact same fashion. If he did this at the Texas mile no one would second guess it. That's just how it is. I don't really care either way, but at least understand why people are skeptical...

Why was the GT turning left the whole time btw, or was the gps / logger overlay fuxed?

Ok I will not lie, the car is extremely impressive. I would just have liked to see the record set at the Texas Mile where the results could not be doubted when comparing cars.

I'll catch you all out at the mile. I'll be the guy in the Redneck Green Polaris RZR.

Mod motors don't seem to get a whole lot of credit, they are huge, have timing chains that equal the underground rail road in distance and with out boost, well, lets not go there. How ever, right chassis, right power adder, they hurt some feelings. So I've done some calculations, expert calculations as a matter of fact, and have come up with the following.

Mod Motors On Boost = 8=======D

Ford GT = (l)

Thus, 8=======D + ( l ) = Win.

I read the comment by mod motor RACIST grayington about Supras having 15 years or what evers, but mods motors were cracking off 9s in the late 90s, been 6s with production blocks. A fact thats lost on so many LS1 guys since they beat a non PI SOHC 96 GT they think all mod motors run similar.

LOL! I met you in the young days of my mod motoring. In fact wasn't it you, Tony, Leo, and Larry Cato that all went to Chili's after an MTI Dyno day back in 2000 or 2001. I do remember only losing to 3 LS1's back then (before my motor started letting go). Josh (who came packing a LOT of n2o), Tonys 434ci LSx Stroker, and John Campbell (fastest N/A 346 in the world at the time (who nobody probably remembers anymore due to them being new here, but a cool guy none the less)). I remember drooling over some of the peoples setups on Corral.net wishing one day my mod motor'ed car would run like theirs.

John Campbell still posts on the HFB list serv every rare once in a while. Records will always fall to guys who are willing to build cars to go after them, simple as that. That Ford GT is moving out
