Exclamation Help Choosing New Cam

Ok, so I will be ordering some AFR 205s here pretty soon, and I will be having them milled to 59cc to boost my compression up. I already have a FAST 92/92 that I will send to get ported as well.

I basically want a badass N/A street car, that will more than likely see some spray down the road, like a 100 shot.

I did some research and found out that if I want a bigger cam like an MS3 or MS4 I will have to flycut my pistons, and I don't want to have to do that.

So I guess I have some options, stay with my cam, or go with a slightly bigger cam that won't have PTV issues.

Performance mods are:
stock bottom end 346 ls1
Torquer V2 cam (232/234 .595/.598 112 LSA)
1 5/8 - LTs ORY - Cutout (I plan on upgrading to some 1 7/8s though)
SLP lid
LS7 clutch
Stock 10 bolt, Eaton posi, 4.10s

What do you all suggest?

Get in touch with Patrick G and have him spec out a cam. He knows his stuff when it comes to cams.

Why do you not want to fly cut the pistons.

The cam you have is a really good cam already. Unless you want to sacrifice driveablilty I wouldn't go huge. Since you already have a cam and have to have a new one, PM Patrick G. He previously had a 347 LS1 making over 500rwhp with the heads you are getting. Before you go any farther and that number sounds good, give him a call and he can tell you exactly what to do to get those numbers.

The cam you have is a good size for making power. If you want to make more power and don't want to flycut, there's more power to be found by running a bigger cam at a larger cc (un-milled) chamber size than a smaller cam with a milled cylinder head. I made over 500rwhp with milled heads and flycut pistons.
