he doesnt know **** about driveabilty and he thinks having the biggest cam in the world is gonna help him pick up chicks. im trying to talk him into building it into a 408cid but he doesnt wanna spend that much cause he wants to buy some $1000 beer pong table or somthin like idk hes stupid

I figured Jud would say something along the lines of "Don't associate with people like that. They are street squirrels." The only squirrels Jud cares about are the abandoned baby squirrels he finds and tries to rehabilitate.

I was just talking to Jud about it again and he said its a dumbass project for a dumbass and that I shouldn't install it for him and i should just steal the cam and sell it and keep the money

holy hell!!!!
this guy i know put a 238/242 604/610 112lsa in his stock cubed ls1 goat and that cam is WAAAAAAAAAAY to big for it... he revs that bitch to almost 7K and he only ran a 13.0... sounds good but man if i spent that much on a cam i would want more outta it, he made ~400 to the wheels... not a good choice for your bro, slap him on the head and tell him he's an idiot!

I'll probably just make him get an extra think head gasket because I don't feel like taking apart his motor to fly cut the pistons and he wont even care about his compression drops i doubt he even understands compression...and I told him what Jud said and he still wants this cam

if he isn't going to listen, let him do it, and when it get drug by a Cam only LTx Car, slap him in the face with the stock cam and tell him to put that bitch back in....or get a smaller cam....

You can run thicker gaskets, but I don't think if that will make a huge improvement. This is an install that would unquestionably require a clay test. This is good common practice anyways, but with most of the street cams a good installer could skip it. I still don't think it will work. Maybe with a set of heads, but I am just guessing. That cam is made for a big cube engine. I also think to get it to idle he will have to kill his AC and run a set of pullies.

lol that cam with no fly cut pistons is gonna be one valve bending machine at high rpm better keep it under 5k rpms. the cam i have which is smaller than yours was said to be as big as i should go and i have a 383 with bad *** heads and all the supporting mods. ill bet money if this is an auto car without a big converter, gear and all the other supporting mods that GTO is gonna be a straight up PIG.
FYI one of my friends did this with his 1999 trans am he had a cam, straight headers, and a lid, and his **** did sound bad it was defaning loud but all that noise didnt help his *** when my lid, exhaust car would walk away from that pos not to mention when we dynod it at uti it was putting down like 25rwhp less than my car and all i ahd was a lid and cut-out.
if you want it to chop really hard at idle any cam with 110 LSA or lower will damn near shake your teeth out i have a 112 in my car and it sounds like a pro stock car with the cut out open.
