Was it the tire sucking or the wrong tire choice for the set up? I could say the bias-ply MT ET Streets sucked if I judged from my experience alone. I had a set and they wouldn't hook on my car. I sold them to a friend and his 500+ hp Cobra hooks with them. The M&H cheaters I bought to replace the ET Street hook for me. All that being said, I've seen cars hook pretty well with BDG DR's. Not like a MT DR, but much better than street tires.

Good point. I have talked with a few people that had the same problem with the BFG'S. I'm sure with the right suspension and adjustments they will work. I think that goes for almost any tire though. For our f-body lowered 1.5,kyb's and lca's they sucked.

Alright.......ive heard of people getting there rims/trued widened.......

I have a buddy with some new nitto nt555r 305/40/18 tires

My problem is the wheels are only going to be used on the track only Literally...im gonna swap them out when i get there...and mount the stockers back when i leave

I have a 18x8.5" wheel and I know some mustang guys run a 285 size tire daily driving on the street but I think thats pushing it......

Would the 305 tire still be able to mount on my wheel? I want to be safe but also dont have a problem with taking a little risk....

I had 295/45/18's mounted on 18x8" wheels and didnt seem to bulge out alot. Im not saying the 305's will be safe on a 18x8.5 but they will mount on there.

ARE THESE THE ONES YOU HAD YOU NT05R'S ON?

Cause if thats the case im just gonna suck **** it and buy them tommorow before he sells them to someone else.

With that being said my wheels are .5" wider and would almost fit exactly how your tires are, and if your racing them thats even better for me in my book. I got a damn good deal on these wheels and it seems like im gonna get a good deal on these tires. They might not be as sticky as I would like but right now I would save aboug 350$ in the long run and could still resell them for the same price used.

Ok my wheels were 18x8 originally, I put 295/45/18 Nitto Nt555 (non drag) on them. this was in my Envoy. they would hook bad *** on the track (ran a 1.7 - 60', 12.4 et). Here is how they looked...

I then had the wheels widened 2" each and mounted 305/45/18 Nitto Nt05R's on them. With the Nt05R's the truck hooked too much that I couldnt even do a burnout on dry pavement. which is good cause it wouldnt spin off the line. But then again, I only had them on for about a week or two before the accident....

now the ones on my ex-30th were 315/35/17 Nitto Nt555r and like I said hooked like a **** with my setup. In the second pic you can see the difference between the 315 Nt555R's and the 315 BFG Drag Radials...

$250 per wheel for 2" wider, fixrim aka wheels america in Duncanville. I dropped off my wheels again today to have them repaired. I pulled them off the truck and plan on putting them on my new ride

I think I'm gonna go with some nt05rs when I get some street lites or torque thrusts. I hear they have been good, but those toyo dr's seem very nice too. We should have some people do some tests on them.
