I'm in LA about once or twice a month and can tell you gas is pretty much the same there as it is in most places in Houston. I do agree more people and worse traffic.

Where are you talking about? the Desert like bako? LA it's avg temp is 72, it's awesome I love it. But yeah if your in the valley I so agree.

i thought the tint laws for texas was

none on the windshield
can NOT be darker than 35% on the front
rear windows on side and on the very back can be as dark as your hear desires... that is what my dad told me and he is HPD... i could be wrong i guess but i have never seen a imspection person try and test my back windows on my truck, as they are 20%... either way dont worry about tint not too many cops give two ***** about it...

Hmmmm I have 8" limo strip on my windshield, 35% doors and Limo on the rear. At least my INS will be less for my cars, geico is my friend. Im gonna drive around till my cali plates expire then renew/reg in texas. If I get pulled over im on VACATION.

No really looking forward to the heat, having 2 black cars also suck. I better have my AC checked.

It's 25 on the sides (front seat), others don't matter including the rear.

really? that stinks. I got a ticket for speeding when I still had my cali plates and he didn't say anything. Did you tell them your TX address though? or the place you moved from???

I told him i was visiting my mom, and I was driving the DD, and showed him my Cali DL and told him I was leaving soon as well. But he didn't give a damn and wrote me up still..I guess that was my "Welcome to Texas" greeting...
