I met mine at the track... she has a SS that she races. Its a little faster now but shes still the one that drives it. Its actually fun to watch her to be cruising around and a guy pulls up beside her and she inconspicuously reaches behind the seat, turns on the bottle and proceeds to open a can of whoop-***, but the best part is when I pulling up next to the guy at a light afterwards and he sees a blonde driving.. She also drives a pink badged TBSS for a DD. Even during Christmas she is happy to get car parts/car related stuff. I guess I just got lucky in that department.

My wife DD'd a 12-sec turbo Regal, a bolt on '98 SS A4, a bolt-on '99 Formula, and then a '07 STi. She liked driving the first three because they were quick and she LOVED the STi because it handled and stopped and sill ran low-13's.
Now we have a Honda Pilot for the kiddo.

Ya I'm trying to get more of them to be like me! 
It is very hard to talk about my car at work, around other women, etc. They don't care and seem disinterested! I am one of very few who would rather buy a new cam for my car than go to the mall and buy new shoes! Guys are more fun to hang around anyway!

Guess I got lucky too......Mine flew me and a friend(also a board member) out to Florida to pick up her ride for her......If you didnt know, that obnoxiously loud black 01 SS with the centermount exhaust on 18" chrome Z-Ohs that I sometimes get to drive........it aint mine......I love hearing her kill stories as well.

Guys are more fun to hang around anyway! maybe i need to get my gf on here so she can rifle through all the tech stuff. she is trying to learn from what i tell her, but its so much easier to just show her threads that explain it for me. but really i think i got lucky, she may not be the most car savvy girl out there but everytime we go to a meet or show she gets a little more into the whole scene. i think its just a matter of time before the horse power bug sinks its teeth all the way in.
hey Brian she seems a little timid but get her behind the wheel it'll be over with and she'll fall in love the tech stuff will fall in place shortly after. I still am trying to make time let my girl drive mine but then again she used to race a 69 chivelle.

yeah shes just timid around you guys, around our good friends shes actually more outgoing than i am. and i would let her drive my car but its an M6 and she has never driven a manual. ive been teaching her as much as i can with out actually letting her drive my car. i think my set up is a little tooooo agressive for her to learn on. a friend of mine just picked up a standard beatle that he's willing to let her learn on before he sells it.

i'm rolling up 67/167 yesterday, up from Little rock. this 01-02 SS pull on my 6. so im like uhhunh, thy gunna wanna. tints hide the pilot. The car REVS, we go from like 65 til i have no clue, side by side every gear. I grab 6th a pull away. Car follows to the Gas Station.....A GIRL gets out, pretty hot too!!! I was like damn. I need a second wifey! yu wanna be that girl? LOL!! very suprised!

My wife has been doing autocross and track events off and on now for 8yrs. Not only does she enjoy driving cars but she helps in the garage as well. She help with a cam swap in my old 98 Z28 (she installed a fe valve springs). She also helped with the heads and cam on our FRC Corvette. She currently drives an '07 Cadillac CTSV after trading in the C6 she had for a few yrs. We should get back out there soon enough now that we are almost settled in our home in Tx after moving from Miami a few yrs ago. We miss Sebring and Homestead speedway! Some cool tracks up here in the Dallas area that we will soon be checking out though.
