You complain about the GT500 being $15k more than the 2010 SS Camaro, then you post a video comparing a C6Z to a lower priced ($18k difference in base MSRP) GT500. Do we want to bring up what $18k in mods to a GT500 will do? Can you say 1000rwhp?

Base MSRP on a 2010 GT500 is $46k.

You're missing the point. They are comparing a 2-seat sports car to a much cheaper pony car. It's apples to oranges.

That was a Shelby GT 500 KR.
My Shelby GT 500 was 45k new.
It really is apples to oranges but this battle of words has been going on FOREVER. The Shelby is stuck in the middle. Please bring back the Z28 so we can have a fair comparison.
As for me I like running corvetts all flavors win lose or draw

Yes badz they do. But the KR is a $25,000.00- $30,000.00 modded Shelby GT 500. I know for a fact that a stock Shelby GT 500 with less than $10,000.00 in mods will stomp a stock 06 and above z06 in the 1/4 mi with thousand of $$$ left over to stay with-em as they start to mod.
We can go back and forth forever with each of us bringing up points to score on

I dont think the GT500 can be compared to anyting. It is too expensive to be compared to the camaro and too damn big to be compared to a vette. It cant be compared to anything that chrystler has either.
If GM produces a 50K camaro or Dodge produces a 50K charger... then apples to apples can be compared.
until then the GT500 stands in its own catagory.

You can compare the SS to a GT500 because they are in the same class. It's not Ford's fault Chevrolet does not produce a higher HP Camaro at the present time. All Chevrolet has to do is drop the CTS-V motor into a new SS and call it the Z28.
Would you be comfortable comparing a 550hp Z28 (if it gets produced) to a C6Z? The C6Z would still rape the Z28.

I know it's a KR, but a 2010 GT500 has the same amount of hp as a 2009 GT500 KR.
