I hope thats not the case cause Im going to be shifting at 7600.

I would try to find a factory alternator from GM. Those remans dont ever last. It has nothing to do with RPM. They are just shitty alternators. I would take the belt off the AC though. If you still have that on, I wouldnt spin that past 6500, even with the AC off. Chews up bearings.

Not as of yet. I actually finally have it all torn down the way I want. Now comes the fun part of putting it all back together. The motor is going to Kotzur tomorrow, or at the latest next week. Right now I am waiting on some small suspension stuff to come in and the rest of the top end of the motor to come in, then REASSEMBLY.

Guys, who should I see to tune out egr/air/rear o2s? Does anyone have the program to do it, or should I go to a shop, or send my PCM off to a vendor? I have some headers, I just need to finish piecing together my exhaust. I want to have those codes deleted before I do the exhaust though.

I just had my transmission rebuilt by Mike (thesource). I guess my transmission didn't like the track last wednesday! lol...

Message Zamora. He bought my hptuners.... Not sure if he knows how to turn the codes off but I think he does. If not I can help him help u lol.

But in all honesty is say take your car to Corey and he will delete codes and put a parking lot tune on your car for $100.

I have HPTuners as well and can help with basic tuning, Im at 1604 and Culebra, as I said before, you'd have to cover the cost of the license.

And on the alternator thing, I regularly see 7800 on my car and as far as I know is the stock GM piece with 200K miles on it.

I believe Corey is the tuner (and owner?) of Henderson Performance in New Braunfels.

From what I have heard, he is a VERY awesome tuner. I ran into an F-Body owner last night that is currently taking some tuning lessons from Corey.

I see. I don't want an actual tune until I do the mods I have planned to it. I just want those codes deleted so I don't have to stare at a check engine light when I do the exhaust.

I will note that name for when I start modding though, thanks.

$100 (2 credits at 49.99 ea)

If Corey will do it, ud probably be better off spending the $100 with him since they might give u a discount on future tunes....

i understand not wanting to get a tune. but why pay $100 for just the codes to be shut off. when you can pay $100 and have corey put a base tune on there for you long tubes and what not. so that way yours PCM isnt dumping more fuel then needed into the motor.... granted its not running ridiculously rich with just long tubes but hell for the same price you can pick up some more power.

also that $100 for the code delete/ tune corey puts that $100 towards the cost of future tunes.....

example say you do a cam ..instead of being $500 for a tune it'll only be $400

work smarter not harder imo

Makes perfect sense! I was not aware there was a license fee per vehicle. I'm new to the computer stuff. I will probably send you a PM in the next week or two for Coreys information. I'd rather get those codes deleted before I rip out the air/egr and stock exhaust, so it will be pretty soon. I just need to buy a x-pipe and a couple mufflers and i'm set.

Thanks guys!

Chris
