Cost to turbo an LS1...
#61
A 427 LS1 Forged Kit costs about 2000
The BEST Twin turbo kit would cost you 8 or 7000
Rear end, Fuel System, Tranny Can be M6 ( Much Much more fun), Gauges, and all that stuff would cost about 7 or 8000.
Installation would take you a good 2 months.
So 20k Would be perfect and you are possibly gona get more than 900 horses. If you wanna learn, Search the thread Or just tell us excactly what you will need. Mam

It's Todd, but no worries. I've been called worse. It's been a few years since you used to come down here to the meets.
If you want to go turbo, you might be in for a wild ride, in more ways than one. Turbo'd LSX's are baller, but I love the realiability and relative simplicity of my Procharger system.
I echo the members who said go auto. Esp, if you want to run at the track. I took my M6 procharged car to the track three times... and broke drivetrain parts three times. I use it now just for cruising to meets and highway bombs; it hasn't seen the 1320 in several years. My Vortech car is also M6, but I would love to have an FI LSX car that is auto trans.
