My "turd" gen in GM High Tech

My favorite part about the third gen Formulas is the hood and I am so glad you kept the stock hood. My friend had a bright blue 89 Formula 350 and I think one of the coolest thing about that car was when you drive you, you sat behind that hood scoop, just looked really neat. I would not mind owning a third gen Formula one bit, just finding a clean one is a bit tough.

Great build! I don't usually see 3rd gens in good condition much. Its good to see them when you do. The only problem I see is that with a build like yours and then the magazine coverage, people may start building more 3rd gens and the prices will go up before I can get my hands on a relatively inexpensive one to build.

thanks again guys for the positive feedback.
from what I have been told, visual inspection for smog equipment and the tail pipe sniffer. only 3 years to go until its a classic.
Yeah there are some out there. but they are creeping up in age. I replaced ALOT of parts on mine. Didn't change out the radiator and this past week it cracked. stuff just happens after 21 years. The hood was a major issue for me. I wanted to keep the stock appearing hood. Some of the bracing was removed in order to fit the blower.
Don't worry there are cheap ones all over the place. go to thirdgen.org and look under the for sale section. the car is not expensive, its all the other stuff that got crazy expensive...just like any other hotrod.
