Mine wasn't too bad. Had 2 screws to hold collarbone down and ligaments re attached. I was swinging a golf club as soon as the screws were taken out.

tore labrum here "Drew Brees Injury", it sucked really bad. All I can say is, REHAB the ever living crap out of it. I am serious, kill yourself rehabing it. My shoulder is completely healed, happened about 3-4yrs ago.. below is my pic.. as you can see.. my shoulder can handle a lot of weight\abuse now.. I know to many people that have taken rehab as a joke on knees and shoulders to just reinjury them again..

It really depends on what part of the shoulder you're getting surgery on. I had surgery on my labrum and the only thing I really had difficulty with was that rehab didn't start till a month after.

From what I understand I am having my rotator cuff repaired...Dr. said it was pretty torn up. I also have a severely torn anterior labrum. Its not going to be arthroscopic surgery, they are going to cut me up.

I wouldn't know anything about that. Sounds ruff though. I would bet it would be the same as what the other guys are saying I know it was with my knee surgery. Rehab is the key.

have you had an MRI I assume? No, that is not to terribly bad, if your RC was completely torn off and a tore Labrum.. that would be a long rehab.. lots of down time..

I WAS very active before the injury. Run,bike, swim, lift, compete.... I can only bike right now.. and not off road. I can't wait to be back to normal. I will put %100 into rehab.
Thanks for the input guys.

They told me 3months and then I will go back on Light Duty. and 8-16 months before I am back to "normal".
Yeah I had an arthrogram, MRI and CAT scan. Good thing it happened at work, or i would have been SCREWED!

I go in for surgery next Tuesday the 13th. I was thrown to the ground during a defensive tactics class at work. I landed on my shoulder with my feet still up in the air. My shoulder was down near my nipple for a split second but went right back in... It hurt... lol
