i remember a kid once in like a 2000 ford exploder doing nhra burn outs, he would sit there spin his tire (non-plural) let off the brake and just keep spinning the tire to the 1000 foot mark...

I was sitting on the "box" at the starting line a HRP when a older civic does a burnout and kept right on driving. After he passed the billboard you could still him WOT... he passed the second turn off and finally let out of the throttle. I told the people sitting with me "watch this" about 5 seconds later you see his tail lights disappear, he hit the sand trap.
