why is the change oil on if i already changed my oil?

Question why is the change oil on if i already changed my oil?
i did a whole oil change on my ls1 t/a and on the dash it says change oil? help?

It's set to turn on at a regular interval and doesn't know that you just changed the oil. Turn the key to the on position and hold the "trip" button down to reset it.

Push in and hold the trip needle for about 5 seconds and it should go away.

you may have gotten the 2 minute oil that is only good for ... well ... 2 minutes.

You have to hold it down for about 12 or 13 seconds and it will blink a few times. Now you are done.

I typically just do a half oil change since the older, used up oil is on the bottom.
