Does anybody know when they started charging for trailers on the belt? Guess I need to look at my account more often, haha. 3 axle trailer and truck costs $6 at each toll booth. That's $24 each time I race in Angleton driving from Katy. Guess I need to take the loop or hwy 6 from now on. The belt is great in the afternoon coming from NASA going home in Katy after work, but not towing a trailer.

They have always charged for trailers for as long as I can remember and its total BS on how exspensive it is. I always try to detour around them but sometimes its just not possible unless you wanna be stuck in traffic.

Here is what I got back from HCTRA
HCTRA has always charged for extra axles. Our EZ TAG customers used to have to call in and add additional axles each time they wished to pull their trailers in the EZ TAG Lanes. However, thanks to new technology, occasional multi-axle (trailer) charges are handled by our system and do not require a call or visit to one of our locations. New technology in dedicated EZ TAG lanes at the main line plaza will read any number of axles traveling through the lane.
Maybe I should have called in all the times I towed thru an EZ tag!
