well i have bad news i dropped a valve in cylinder # 4 because the lock and retainer came lose. hopefully i can just change the valve and get new locks and retainers. hopefully...
motor has 3000 miles on it!!!!!!! I took this motor to be installed at rpm the shop that used to be in lewisville. and Keith (the chain smoker) that worked there, i remember installed the springs so maybe he messed up on that part while he was smoking a cigarette on the job.
And yeah there out of business now. They told me that they took the motor to be built somewhere else but i dont recall where.
it took them a ******* month to take the motor out, get it rebuilt then install it back in with a new trans. The excuse was that the motor builder had a lot of motors to build. ****** bitches! now im stuck with this. oh well live and learn.
how does this just happen? It had to be whoever installed the springs

car runs just as good now.
Thank the lord the valve did not blow up the motor

It's likely not the same problem if you just installed an intake. Take a can of carb cleaner or starter fluid and spray it in short bursts around the intake with the engine at idle, wherever spraying it causes the idle to change is where the vacuum leak is.
