Ok I hate you for posting this. I'm not afraid of heights, but I'm drunk and my stomach just turned upside down.

Those guys have to be crazy. I wann do it now tho. lol.

I hope they make over $100 an hour.

And I heard they carry their tool bags with them. I'm a mechanic and before I start a routine job, I throw all the tools I need on my cart. There's hardly ever a time that I get halfway through a job and don't need another tool out of my box...

BUT like a few of y'all said... I'd totally wanna base jump after the job. Those guys must ALL be adrenaline junkies...

These guys acctualy carry so many damn tools with them that its soo heavy. They are riggers so they average out at about 25$ n hour. I had a friend who used to build the cellphone towers and do maintnance and he said at first he was so scared but after a while its like nothing. They would take their lunch up there cause by the time u get down lunch time is over lol.

I showed my gf this video. This is what she had to say:

"If my boss told me to climb some sketchy *** tall ****** tower like that, I'd tell him to die in Hell."

LMAO!

I really don't think that is in the US, OSHA is so strict, they really let them do that? I don't buy it...

Pretty cool though.!

After climbing a 600ft tower the first time, I had no issues going back up to the 400ft mark again--- or so I thought. The guy I was with told me that I would "lock up" and I said No way man, first time was a breeze, no big deal. Got up to 400ft, no problems-- starting coming down and got to about 300 or so and sure as ****. Locked up. He yelled up to me "Stuck!?". I yelled back "Yep". Took 30 minutes for my muscles to not be locked up to where I could even move again. It was nuts. Needless to say I do not do anything re: telecom anymore. Dudes are crazy.

I climb towers every once in awhile for my dads company.
The original video was posted weeks ago and yanked because the guy committed 27 OSHA violations (reason the other face is blurred now upon repost I assume)and is completely dumb for hooking up to the lightning rod. Does he not know that the metal becomes weaker each time it is struck by lightning?

The climb was ok until they had to do the free climb and stand on top of the platform to change the bulb, yeah - screw that!
