Bought a new car today
Just picked up a black 08 LS3 corvette with the removable hardtop. It is a blast to drive, very smooth car compared to the C5Z. The car had 18k on it when I took it for the first spin, and I went just over 19k tonight. Whether I end up liking it more will be a tough call.
Met up with some of my mustang friends, one with a brand new 2011 5.0 GT. We had a good time and cruised tonight in northwest Houston. No street racing with paper plates, plus, he is a cop. The 5.0 engine bay is freaking sick. Marco, my friend had a real nice slr camera and got a bunch of pics that I will post later.
A couple of shots earlier that my buddy took on his cell phone.
I am probably going to put the car in the shop on Monday morning. I have a Vortech Supercharger kit from A&A at the shop that I purchased before the car a couple months ago. The should make 525-550rwhp with 6psi and stock exhaust. It is a custom fabricated kit from a guy that has been designing them for the c5 and c6, with good results.
I plan on pushing it to around 600-625rwhp for the Texas mile in March and hope to go around 185mph. I'll post up some in car acceleration videos before and after the blower install.
