I usually just put my plate inside the dashboard that seems to work. It really depends on the cop and his discreation towards plates. For me its kind of scary to drive around having TD's and no front plate in Dallas.

That motorized plate is nice.

My front plate is mounted, but it's covered up by the front plate cover. Whenever I get pulled over, I just tell the cop that I was at a car show recently and forgot to take the front plate cover off. I always keep a mini screw driver in my glove box, so I nicely offer to remove it on the spot. They always let me off

Puting a plate in the dash only emphasizes the fact that it isn't where it should be.

I know, but most of the time you can get away with it and tell them that you taught it was ok to put it there. They will pretty much tell you to just place it on the bumper from now on.

I actually just got pulled over for the first time EVER in 2 years of driving a camaro. For no front plate, I had it in my back floor board lol I had it up in the dash for the longest but got tired of it rattling. The cop was suprisingly cool and gave me a warning
