Ya rich was rushing everybody, I asked my customer that got lined up next to me to courtesy stage and he said no problem.. Then rich started bitching for me to hurry and I brought it to high and let go of the clutch and BLEW the tires off! I feel sorry for the turbo guys..
Second- If Rich knows he is not car then he should know to keep his mouth shut.
Third- The last race. Ok I was there with a friend who does a lot of racing ad neither he nor I saw the deep stage. I really want to see the episode. I never saw the first set of bulbs go out. but maybe. My thing is he drove around the Mustang on the big end. If he did deep stage the tree should have picked it up and not given the win light. I don't know.

a "stand up" guy would have kept his word on a verbal agreement! I will leave it at that.
in my eyes they should have given each of them 5K to make things right. one had catastrophic failure, one deep staged but turned on the win light. Do they count that as a first or worse situation?

1) We were there had a great time and ran very well.
2) Normally, they should have just red-lit / DQ'd a deep stage, but, Rich backed out quite a few cars in the Final 32 that did, and let them run. If the Mustang had not blown up, he might have re-run it...who knows.
3) Why we didn't get 2 runs on Friday is still a mystery...all done with our 1st runs by 5:40pm ish, +/-, in only 4-hours. We would have all ran a second run, in awesome air, way before midnight even allowing for some breakage / carnage!
4) I have ran 6 or 7 events, had a great time at them all, but, I still believe they need to look over the cars before picking them...tired of seeing a given class with cars way too fast / capable of being faster than picked. I did not count, but there were a heck of a lot of chutes, beadlocks, super long wheelie bars, nasty combos, etc. for a 9.4-9.7ish class.
5) Regardless of the pro's and con's, I will continue to run them as it's a blast for $60 and a good reason to party it up with old and new friends, like we did.
PS: I saw on Facebook that the episode will air January 6th. Take care. Dave

That Honda picks up QUICK on the big end, saw it run and was thinkin it wasn't much until he got out to about the 330 and that big ol turbo finally got spooled up proper, then it sounded like a damn jet taking off!
