tire exploded on my c6 FML went to a tire shop today to get some new tires for the vette, drove home fine no issues, as i was going to a party the car began to shake alot i pull over and the right rear tire looks like a piece of the tire is missing. i called up a friend who has a gto spare throw that on just so i can take the car home. and now im stuck with new fucked up tire, the tire shop is closed 2morrow. luckly my rims didnt get damaged at all i have no idea how the **** it isnt but it looks fine lol
il be going back to the tire on monday to see what can be done.
any1 have a spare 295/18

etleast you didn't get hurt! i feel your pain,i had that happen on the freeway in my 69 camaro a few years ago and i was in another state.... it was a bfgoodrich and they didnt replace it or anything, claimed there was no recall when they ran the numbers.i never ever buy another bfgoodrich again, tore up my fender,rocker,door and hideaway headlight bracket.

I have BFG KDW on my car and everyone talks about how great they are. They do look cool but I raced a truck the other day and broke them loose going 40mph and got a little squirrely. It's like a 265 rwhp car, not very impressed at all.

i agree, im glad me and the car didn't suffer any additional damage. i just wish i would've kept the bald drag radials i had on there, i had much luck with those then these pos tires. im sure it had to be installed incorrectly or maybe the bead was broken not sure.

Where in Houston are you? I was just thinking today I need to get rid of my stock run-flats. They've been sitting for a while, and there's not a lot of tread left on them, but if you want them and have know of a shop that will pull them off my old stock wheels, they're yours.
