but where in the Galleria area has a big enough parking spot? That's open and all?
I wonder what the real reason was....
a) burn outs?
b) bitter shop owners (but stupid shop owners, hello open and sell stuff, u know wives would buy)
c) really too big?
d) other???

Shop employees were bitching about not having parking to come and open up their shop, which is understandable. Burnouts out front by all the retards sure didn't help, either. The lot definitely was too small. We have a similar looking shopping center in the Woodlands, off of I-45, that is much larger. That would be convenient for me

typical meet being broken up due to retarded actions of many.......
it's been happening since 1995, HAHA !!!!!
look around people - this is Houston - this city is full of spoiled kids with access to nice cars. oh, and plenty of adults who appear to have had their licenses for about 48 hours.

I guess I still don't understand the shop owners, sorry but I don't. Since I ran a bar in College I can say that ANY event that was going on near our bar that had potential for income we would open. The owner was always about making a dollar. If I was those shops I would have been there at 7, opened at 8 and tried to make a buck or two. I mean we all know that the guys have nice cars and the wives (most) could care less about going to the show, but if there were stores open.... Catching my drift?

We all knew it was going to happen, just suprised it took this long and not 2-3 meets ago. On to your analysis of businesses that need money, college is college there's a BIG difference in clientele especially for "Uptown Park". Look at the neighboring areas. They didn't like what was going on. C&C was nice when it was just a few that filled up just the parking from Crave all the way thru McCormicks imo. I wouldn't blame them at all, I would do the same. I just don't think that Owners/managers understood "car show/meets". Wait and see what others come up with now.
I think that there would be more women there if they knew they could shop. I know that my soon to be wife really has no desire to go there, but the bridal shop was open at 10 one day when we were still there late and she went in and had a blast...
The university co-op place started opening and I saw people going into that as well. I'm surprise McCormicks didn't open, as 3 of the times my bro and mom left to go eat a early brunch at different places down the street, but would have gladly stayed there.
Either way, i Do understand your statement about college being different then Uptown, but I still think there would have been a business opp.....

Business oppertunity yes, just not there. It's just a different dynamic of people that come to C&C and people who would actually shop/spend money in Uptown (all shops, not just restaurants). I think the owners are just not too keen on what was going on. It's easy to say that C&C took over the entire area. Starbucks and Crave loved the hell out of it too. I'm just curious on where their going to find another place to start C&C again. We'll see....
I still argue your statment.
