look how long it took the new camaros to get into the 9's or even 8's (if there are even any out there)... i know the few shops around houston making over 900hp in their new camaros that are running mid low 9's.. and it took quite some time to get to that point. compare the new mustang to the new camaros as they are what fuel each other... and i lol when i see these posts bout making 470+ on h/c ls1's... not that it cant or dont happen but its only a relatively small portion of the ls1's out there... not to mention they also have a fast90 or something equivalent to that or more... well i at least hope my last statement is true other wise why would i have spent the 5+k dollars on a bigger motor

a Mustang GT with 3.73's in bone stock form running 12.7's
The "GT", the "3.73's" and "12.7's" is what's crazy...
Only fast GT has been 13.5 or 13.6 - and those are the freak GT's from 2006-2010...knocking off almost an entire second and going over 112mph in a GT is mind numbing...
...and to think they're only $33-35k...

Be advised those numbers were with a negative DA at Houston Raceway.
Car is a base GT with 3.73s from the factory with 6 speed manual.
11.88 was on some 26" ET Streets mounted on a 17" inch rim so had a 1.69 60'

It is still a Ford, so there is nothing to be mad about.
Still, the gearing and increase in power are what makes it happen, nothing crazy about it, guess some are super impressed like yourself for some reason.
You looked a little passed what I was trying to get at...

Of topic for just a second is your set up a 383 iron block built to accept the ls top end? iI was watching horsepower tv and they had an old scholl iron block built to accept ls top end, thought it was pretty cool nice ride!

No, i still hate you.
LOL
Not really man, just the guys that think Ford cannot be beat and that they are the best, but there are other guys that drive GMs that think the same way, but at least the GMs run as good as the drivers think usually. Just know too many 4.6 and 5.0 guys that think their **** is untouchable for some reason.

Haha that's understandable!! I've won in all my cars (yes even the 98 GT lol) and lost in all of them as well. Nothings untouchable. That vein said the new 5.0 is pretty stout in my eyes. But I'll take an ls3
