I googled it and didn't really see anything, but thought I would pose the question here as I'm sure someone will know the answer. I always see questions about the fastest cam only or heads/cam or single power adder and so on. So I thought I would ask.

Anyone have an idea or maybe can steer me to who might know?

Thanks, I think so too. It's not mine. But, I'm very, very close to the build.

It oughta be out in a month or two. It's going in a ridiculously light chassis. We'll be hunting mid 4's with it. Still a few things to do, body panels just came back from the powdercoating yesterday. But, it's close after today. We spent all morning and afternoon in his glide.

Well what I can say right now is this car will compete in a racing series here in Texas. It is a Blown Series. It is not the Outlaw Fuel Altereds. It is however a 4.50 Heads-Up Index class. I was asked to get involved. I rebuilt the clients powerglide yesterday. It sports a 1.96 1st gear, a 6 clutch high gear and a stock case. It is a very lightweight Super Comp / Comp Eliminator piece that has been in the mid to high 4 second range in a Dragster. I happen to think it will blow it's brains out when it dead hooks the 33x15's.

Basically, it's a 4.00 stroke. Factory heads that have been significantly modified. A Mooneyhan 8.71 huffer at 15% overdrive... that's basically all the nuts pulled out of it. Notice the rather large blower pulley. It is a hydraulic camshaft all on mechanical injected alcohol. I would like to see him run M5 instead of M1, but we're not sure what the class will allow at this point as M5 has a certain amount of nitro-methane.

We're still on the fence about what gear to use and what converter to use, but being as he already has some nice equipment, my suggestion was to go ahead and run it. I'll loan him a data logger for testing, we can't run it in competition though. But, we can certainly use it to sort out the combination.

And yeah, there is a peek of the chassis in the one pic. So what the heck, here are a few pics of the chassis as it sits this weekend.

He has stripped it down in order to re-paint the chassis. It'll go back together as time allows in the next few weeks. I've encouraged him to go with a different MSD box as I believe cylinder pressures vs. spark is going to be an issue... especially with the M5.

It's going to be one wild bitch!

Ha! Got word from PS John that this might be in it's own category as he hasn't seen one before.

Anyone else? I know it might be a door car, a street car etc... but it's gotta be a roots blower setup. Alcohol or gas. I'm more curious similar builds than I am concerned about any silly record to be honest with ya.

I'll post up more pics and details as time goes on.

What factory head? I'd assume they're 6 bolt heads, right? Why aren't y'all running a solid roller cam?

The engine was built loooonnng before I got involved. I believe it's an LS2 head. Not sure of the castings, they are well massaged for this application. The hydraulic cam was chosen because of budget constraints. It has enough leg in it that it will provide significant torque.

Remember, this rig might weigh 1,500# dripping wet. It's probably going to need ballast in the nose to make it manageable.

Good luck on the build. You really can't beat huge root style superchargers.

They are 6bolt heads. You can see in the last picture. If not, they wouldn't be making over 1100-1200 hp

Thanks Pwebbz28... I'm not an engine man and am just now getting my mind around this combination. No doubt in time I'll know every nut and bolt on the damned thing though!
