That misfire could be the rear knock sensor going bad. On these trucks, the rear knock sensor really likes to rust and fail and the wiring harness starts to deteriorate.. I bought the truck with a knock sensor code being thrown. After 1 hour of pulling the intake, and 2 days of destroying the knock sensor to get it out, she runs perfect.

Was there a SES light?

Here is my other pimp ride i got a week ago as a project(not that i dont have enough old bullshit rides i am working on):

73, LWB, 350/350. Going to do intake, headers, carb and some valve covers i have laying around that are remnants of the old SBC motors i used to build. But, after removing trim, fixing a couple dents and getting some paint and lowering the beast, a carbed 5.3 will be in the works, more than likely a 6.0, but the plan is a 5.3.

Does it say "Duramax" under the hood somewhere? The exhaust tip and pinging gives all the hints of beinging a diesel.

Beautiful truck by the way, my favorite!!

Well, here we go:

Did better than i imagined, i assumed 260 maybe, but stock put down 272 HP and 286 RW torque, for 177 K miles i was pretty impressed.

Now, tuned, it did 292 RWHP and 312 RWTQ, it has a K&N drop in and 4 inch exhaust from the stock Y merge back. I still have not done the coolant bypass and what not.

I think through a 4L80 trans, big *** 2 piece drive shaft, 8.5 rear and 265/75/16 tires, it was pretty decent.

This is on TR5 plugs, i know there is another 100 HP left in a set of the expensive plugs right? LOL

LOL, it has brand new 2010 camaro wires, that is not good for 50 HP? Maybe that is why it dynoed so high, LOL.

Put some stickers on it!! That'll get you an extra 15hp per sticker!!

New tip is a lot more fitting, has the pinging gone away? Did you do A/F when it was on the dyno?
