that track is plain scary.
my dodge club had a "meet" there.
you couldnt hook up a stock 5.7 dodge charger without drag radials.
as soon as you get pass the traps there is a huge dip in the track and the turnoff comes out of nowhere.
the whole return road is a pitted gravely mess.
i could see some fun coming out of a little 1/8mi racing for only 100 bucks to buy in, but it wont suprise me if some people wreck.

This event is for the true dies hard grudge/street racers. We did not want to host this event at a well known track for a street style race. Navasota is the closest thing there is to the street... For those that actually Street/Grudge race they 110% understand what this race is all about.
I already have 10 confirmed TT5 racers that said they will be there and they have grown up at the track back in the day.
After the street racers get done prepping the starting line it will just as good at HMP, HRP, Evadale and any other local track. If these guys can make cars drag the bumpers on the street then they damn sure can do it at the track.
We have guys interested in coming down for the event from Dallas, Oklahoma, California, Chicago, Georgia and Florida.

All that still don't make the rest of the track any better. I have drove down gravel roads better than the return road. The stands, return road, bathrooms, staging lanes, are just a few things that need to be re-done. They don't even have a ticket booth either. I'm sure the right people can make the track hook but that still doesn't make it any safer out there with there lack of safety equipment and people.

Watched MANY cars run mid to high 4's at the nasty. It's rough but that is what makes it so cool. And as for the hooking part i would say it's just as could as any other track I've been to since my dad broke his 9' inch axles there
