I think they do it for the same reason they broadcast it and let everyone know. So when you see a black Camaro or Mustang driving behind you or around town, you're not sure if it's a cop or not. They are actually using the thousands and thousands of normal drivers who bought one the last couple years as decoy's to help "regulate" drivers.

That is one hell of a mind game for the coppers...
Now does this new Mustang guy patrol around 1-3 AM to help stop all the drunks running over folks?
They still have to get around don't they....the point of these stealth cop cars is get jackazz off the road. The drug, rape, murder problem is a different issue. Having more officers on the road might deter it....but seriously, do you think it's gonna completely stop it

I had a friend in HS who's dad was a State Trooper - he drove a '00 Z28. The rule was they could modify the car if they wanted on their own dime as long as it would pass a State Inspection for the county they were operating out of. When the car reached 'retirement' age (mileage), the Trooper had the option of purchasing the car as-is essentially for scrap price before it went to auction

It is in fact an SS.. I have confirmed it and he tickets everyone that he pulls over. He has had me blocked in at the store by having someone else pulled over and I was at Kemah PD after someone hit my truck at the boardwalk, and discussed the car with a guy that I know that is an officer with Kemah PD.

There is a dark Blue GT that I ran into on 281 north and around 1604 about a year ago. It looked like an 08/09, with a big wing. Guy turned on his sirens and did a loop right around BJ's, to head back north on 281. 2 other undercover cars(one explorer) and another sedan were about 1-2 minutes behind him with their lights on, all heading north towards Bulverde. Never would have expected it. Almost tried to get him to race.
yeah the one in kemah its a cop car , and its not stock. Well i think thats the same one Gforce had tuned just a while back , I talk to him last time I was up there in kemah at that bar he is always at.
My friend wich is also on here, had his own personal 02 camaro ss as a cop car. He had the cop lights on that thing and pulled people over. Well he like to race also dont get me wrong , but he only pulled over dumb *** drivers and ricers lol. His car was not stock , huge **** HPE S-cam and true dual Exhaust lol , that **** was loud!!!!!
