I find it interesting they can get away with not having exempt plates on the stealth cars...

I guess if they really wanted to keep it a secret that would not have broad casted it on the news. Seems like the PD is just bragging about the new cars...

They don't have to display exempt plates on unmarked/undercover cars...The tag may look the same as the one on your car, but the registration fee was not actually paid by the department which owns the car, it still has exempt status...

really? I mean they spend all of this money on new cars and yet we have the biggest drug problem, rapist problem, murder problem, illegal problem, but by all ******* means go ahead and buy new nice cars that can maybe out run a stock car. God knows all of us in TX drive stock cars (Ok so some of us do lol) Man I think they could have spent the money on better things then a new car. I got an idea, maybe hire some new officers so we can live safely and not have all the ******* crazy people on the street and what not, or maybe build some more prisons.

bwahahahahahahahahaha
even ******* better, buy a v6 cop car. There ya go!

I don't get why they buy them. Cali used to have those 5.0 stangs, and for the CHP and they did away with them because anytime a car needed to be moved off the road they would have to call in someone else, since they didn't have push bumpers.

Oh well, another waste of tax payers money.

I heard that anytime a cop has a new Camaro or Mustang, the cop himself bought the car. Idk if they are allowed to buy V8s or not... I've seen a few 2010 Camaro cop cars.

They still have to get around don't they....the point of these stealth cop cars is get jackazz off the road. The drug, rape, murder problem is a different issue. Having more officers on the road might deter it....but seriously, do you think it's gonna completely stop it

I think he was arguing that instead of spending money on new cars and traffic cops that maybe they get more detectives to take care of the "real problems" in the city.

Answer is, speeding and moving violations are easy and fairly risk free. Drugs, rape and murder are hard to prove, hard to find and hard to deal with. No one wants to do it. Everyone loves someone...

Seen one today. Pulled my friend over for supposedly hauling *** down i10 and his car being loud. Funny thing was he stopped him like 5 miles down the road. I almost hit him too because he wanted to get behind my friend so he moved into the street as if he was going to turn right and swerved right back on and prolly hadn't seen me, said he clocked him in the 70's lol.(no exact speed, damn liar). What was even funnier was that I was the one thathauled *** and was loud as **** lol. Two ws6's at night, red and pewter are to close of colors to tell them apart lol.

Here in Texas, DPS(Highway Patrol) stopped allowing use of mustangs(Fox) since they could not remember to set the parking brake.
