Another problem with HPE!!
it was shipped directly from comp cams so it come with teh new tech sheet and specs
i have to 2 cams if anyone needs one at least i can get some money back i wasted

Sucks to hear that you had to go through all of that, but at least things kinda got resolved.
Kinda shed some light on my situation, so thank you for that. I had headers installed on my car at HPE in the spring of 2005, set it all up through Stephen while he was there, and Chuck did my tune at that time. Had to take it back twice almost immediately for SES lights. Since then, I've had problems with emissions, and the car not hooking up to the state computers (you can hook a scanmaster up to it, and it'll read fine though). Reading this thread just reinforces my drive to take the SS into LMR and have them flash it back to stock, and then retune it so that I can get it right this time. Took it back to HPE last year, and they basically told me that they have no idea what's happened to my car, and that they've never seen that happen before.
So, LMR will get some work out of this one, just gotta call Stephen at the shop when I get my tax return. It's good to hear a company get some good press from everyone, not bad.

I've posted this before and I'll post it again.
All of the stuff about Chuck is really sad. There was a time when he was well respected in the 04-06 GTO community. At that time Chuck was HPE. Chuck was the 'go to' guy in the GTO community.
I'm glad Steve moved on to LMR and is having a lot of success there. Where Chuck came off as being rather cold, Steve was the personality behind behind HPE. I spent a few thousand dollars there and Chuck never even said thanks for my business or anything like that, while Steve seemed very appreciative about my business.
These are just my humble opinions.

Not trying to hi jack this thread, but being a sponser doesnt mean anything. A really BIG sponser on Tech, who has been mentioned in THIS thread many times by the way, blew up my Vette. Then ignored me when I tried to get them to help me with it. Then I got threatened to have my membership cancelled for raising a stink about it, because it was a sponsered shop, and personal friends with the Moderators. Id NEVER go there again. And I still spread the word to EVERYONE I speak to about it. I know shops make mistakes, and thats fine. But this shop straight out screwed me....... SO BE CAREFUL........ Id stay with G-Force or England Green... They are top notch....

I also have used Mike at Gforce and have had nothing but good experiences with them. I only have had them do minor stuff, but they never made me feel insignificant or like the little guy, and that goes a long way for keeping your reputation good with everybody that doesn't have 20k to drop at one time.

BTW, the red Z06 that they installed a cam on, and it blew up 20 miles later(corvetteforum thread that I posted early in this thread), just got towed back to Houston and is at England Green. Will know the details of just how bad they screwed it up soon.

A few members on camaro5 seem to think that a.r.d is the best shop in town, even after i posted a link to all their disasters. I thought that would be enough but owen sponsors htown camaro club. Com and those guys think hes a god!!
a friend of mine has a new camaro and asked about that place. he was trying to tell me how alot of members are swearing by them. i just sent him a few links of what i've seen from them and he ended up going to another shop. he'll be heading over to LMR for his next round of mods, which could be a few months or next week, just depends on his mood i guess.
