$$$ is the root of all evil.

He also has that high maintenace girlfriend of his, which he bought a BMW 6 series convertible for and is also paying the notes on to keep her happy.

I'm still remember the insurance fraud/scam he pulled a few years ago on his old '97 C5 to get him into his Nissan Titan.

Im sure no matter what kind of hack work owen continues to do people will still look up to him and keep him in business. However itll Eventually become his demise.

Well, HPE didn't completely blow his car up. I talked with Stephen at England Green. They incorrectly installed/tightened some parts on the valvetrain. They didn't change the oil pump, like they were supposed to, and the ring on the pump was squeezed shut. Bottom end of the motor is fine, and the heads are ok too. Lucky guy.

So the conclusion from this thread is that HPE, ARD, and Chuck should be taken out back and shot with one bullet as they stand in line. They are not worth more then one bullet all together.

G-Force is kept alive, but must keep their distance.

LMR is as close to god on the planet earth or in the LSX world.

This is why I love this forum. LOL

LMR seems to be by far the best Houston shop to go to. I'm too broke and skeptical to try another shop again though LOL, I'll be working on my own stuff for a good long while, thank god I have 3 cars. Now when all 3 croak and need work, then maybe I'll throw business some one's direction.

LMR has a few skeletons of its own, and EnglandGreen is hardly ever mentioned. LS1Tech certainly can be an odd place

Since we have been in business for 10 years (2001-2011) We are not going anywhere! We have seen many shops come and go in the last 10 years and yet we are still full of work.

England Green seems more popular on CF then any thing, every business ever has had skeletons or has had some sort off issue at some point or another, how much of it is true or one sided who knows. But nothings 100% perfect, the good stories usually out weigh the bad stories 10 fold, you got some where it's the other way around.

LOL @ this thread. I posted my experience on how my stock ls2 motor blew up thanks to HPE almost a year ago but the thread quickly got locked.

Gary Harmon has already been served with a demand letter (to which he didn't reply to) and now is running away from getting served from the court subpoena (lol).

If anyone knows any information regarding Gary's where abouts or could PM me with an address, or a license plate to the Titan that he bought with his scam, I'd appreciate it.

Here is the result of the cam that HPE did on the c5z right before they shut their doors.

This means that we can just change the lifters, oil pump etc. and get your baby back together with no additional expenses.

They {HPE} did install a double roller timing chain, BTW but they did have some bolts mixed up - one of the cam bolts was on the front cover and one of the front cover bolts was on the cam sprocket. There was NO evidence of Locktite on any bolt, including the crankshaft bolt.

The oil pump O ring was oval shaped (not round) and it looks like the original factory O ring, which could account for your low oil pressure.

Additionally, most of the valve seals were not installed correctly and were floating on the valve stems and providing no sealing at all. And some of the seals were badly mangled.

At least one lifter was not pumping up, perhaps more.

We will replace all 16 lifters with LS7 lifters, install a high volume, high flow oil pump and new gaskets and button it all back up and he'll be good to go.
