Default Banging my head

5 bodys shops so far and all of them refuse to cut out my center section for my targa. I showed them the sub frames and that Im installing a 6pt roll cage. AND if you grab the center section you can twist it a bit-proving its for show NOT for strength. So anyone reccomend a shop in /around austin who will actually do custom work? H&R will paint but wont cut.

I had trouble finding a good bodyshop in Austin when I lived there... You might wanna try Houston, Richey Collision or Pro Edge Auto & Paint...

Install your cage, then get it done.

Worst case scenario is I cut it out and have a body shop fill and finish the hole.

Cage first, if not bang your head against the concrete.

Get on www.faststreetcars.com and PM REDSLED. He can do pretty much anything. Hands down the best fabricator, and if he can't do something you need, he knows someone who can. His shop is in Taylor, probably out of your range, but well worth the trip.

My first thought is a fixed roof Corvette that he wants to convert to a targa top so he needs the center section cut out. I guess he could be doing a Targa on his Camaro in his profile though.

If you cut it out yourself will the body shop clean it up or do they won't nothing to do with it at all for liability purposes?

I assume he is talking about an Fbody.
6LiterEater makes targa tops for Fbody's.

I have a good place in Arlington that would probably do it, but that may be too far.
