Received my first ticket in 12 years today. Following a line of cars 72 in a 55 right after the speed dropped. So it's 17 over. Anyone know if DD is an option. The ticket does not give any guideline on whether I will qualify or not.

Or are there better options other than defensive driving. The ticket is in bexar county by a county officer.

You're good. You can take DD up to 24mph over. Also, the cut-off for deferred is 29mph.

Either one will keep if off your record. DD is limited to how often you can take it, every 2 years I think. It may be a little cheaper also but I'm not sure.

Thanks again live and learn. the pisser behind the whole thing is my friggin I phone alarm has been weird for the last two days. It went off an hour earlier than it was set for. I deleted it and saved a new one and went back to sleep. This happened yesterday and it did the same crap this morning. So I missed my carpool ride to work.

It could be worse I guess this makes up for some of the times I was really misbehaving in the past.
