There is a bill in committee in this years legislature allowing the use of only the rear licence plate.
Here is a link to it and please contact your state rep to let them know how much we support this and how much money this could save the state.

With our luck, the "Relating to the number of license plates to be issued for and displayed on a motor vehicle" part would probably be for 3 tags to be issued. One for front, one for the back and one for the roof so helicopters or something else stupid could read them.

if we didnt have front plates, the state woudlnt be able to get kickbacks from the companies that make them. just think about the fact that you have to get a new plate every 7 years to ensure 'maximum reflectivity' and you have to pay that reflectivity coating surcharge.
you know thats how it is, cuz back home in Massachusetts, you keep your same plates forever and transfer them from your old car to your new car. there are people with 30 year old plates that are just as reflective as brand new ones.
