Lol, I had the same problem getting used to DUI when I moved to MO from IA cause they call it OWI.

OP how did you get by with not showing him a valid DL? It sounds like instead of trying to get out of it you might want to give "rookie cop" a reach around for not fubaring your life

you arent getting out of anything .. long story short the judge is going to do one of 2 things maybe both: 1) he is going to give you the "are you f*cking kidding me?!" look or 2) ignore your stupid comment and hand you your fine(s).

if all the information on the second ticket is correct, yes you are responsible for court and fee's. Dont give them a reason to pull you over next time

Signing the citation is not a plea, but a promise to appear in court. By refusing to sign the citation, is basically breaking that promise to appear in court. You can be taken to jail for refusing to sign, but it's to the discretion of the officer. I know that really doesn't answer your question.

Does your ID have your date of birth? Regardless, they can run you with your date of birth and name. If you had any sort of history with photos being taken, then it's hard not to get the right individual. Does your citation have your DL# on it?

Hi.
Your ticket counts against you. Failure to appear equals being tried in absence
and found guilty. A bench warrant is issued and you go to jail.you then appear before the judge and he punishes you accordingly. If you appear you have the right to a bench trial (before judge) you against the officer. You can also request a jury trial but you can't have both of the above. You probably had other circumstances that created a red flag.driving slowly/crossing center line/stop sign or light/etc. Drinking drivers often kill innocent people due to being impaired. Dui convictions stays on your record for 10 years.not to mention sr22/dl suspension and alot of inconvenience. Good luck and have a blessed weekend...........captain jim

I'm surprised you didn't get taken in. If you refuse to sign a citation....you're going in..no question asked. Get attorney.....gl.
