From what I have seen over the last year it looks like RCC planned on pounding the Underground TT gallardos after what happened last year. Had LMR build him one hell of a vette. But the Gallardos are not making 1000-1150whp this year they were in the 1600-1900whp range and AWD! The cars are lighter, rev higher, make more power and have less traction issues.

I could see him or anyone being frustrated spending that much $$$$$ and having everyone waiting on the vette to pound or paid back for the loss only to find out the lambo's went up alot on power as well.

Good luck with the sale RCC.

Comes down to the golden rule!! no matter what you build there is always something faster.

There were probably half a dozen Underground TT Gallardos in Houston this weekend. One lowly Viper pushing 1200 rwhp handled them just fine. It isn't all about dynojet numbers.

Nineball how does that tt gallardo that ran the viper stack up against the other tt gallardos...I know they were talkin about it in a thread but there was so many different numbers being thrown out I wasn't sure what was true and what wasn't...does anyone know for sure?

That "blue" lambo pushes 1300 whp, talked to the owner several times at our meet. There's other details but he has the "R" package and NO Motec.

That's funny you mention he handled them. I talked to Eric (White one), Tim (Green One), SW (LP560), and Peter (black one). None of them raced the RSI / LMR Viper. The only one that did race was the blue "R" package that makes 200 to 300 less rwhp than the new R package cars. I think SW and a few of them were LOOKING for the LMR cars. I guess if I beat an LMR/G-Force/etc... built car even if it is the slower one than I can handle every one of their other cars. I see perfect logic behind this.

We were all at Omni and they went out... I think Tag also was talking to SW via text while the big group was out at dinner. So trust me the group knew what was going on.

I think they went out every night. I know Friday night a few left early to dodge some of the idiot followers. They got some runs in from what I hear.

I didn't have my car right now so trying to following the Z71 was going to be useless.

And they/I knew about it back then as well. I got to Outback at 7:30 (30min late). We didn't leave Outback till past 10 (Never go with Peter anywhere that you have to wait to get a check LOL!!!!). We went back to the Omni where a ton of people were already. They went out in small groups but I know they were in contact with Jason and a few others from there.

I mean if people want to race some of the big UGR Lambo's driving to Austin isn't that bad at all... I've done it a few times in the Porsche (no trailer involved a few times). It's not like these races have to wait a year...

I will admit though it was kind of relaxing to just be able to go to the events and sit around and not worry about **** LOL! My hands aren't stained black this week, which is the first in a few years!

Hope to see the car at the mile, I cant believe after all the coverage LMR did on the car they didnt discuss why the motor blew up. Was it a crank issue? I am very sad to see the car didnt get to race the fast lambos that were out this weekend.

Yes, broken crankshaft. Manufacturer replaced it under warranty.

I think thats the first I've ever heard of an engine part like a crankshaft having a warranty. Props to Callies.

As Tony stated, they replaced the crank for free because of a defect in the material. Callies definably stands behind their product...

Sucks about the motor but awesome that Callies warrantied it? Did they pay for the rebuild and other parts damage? Sad to see the car go!
