Overseas means not here in the U.S and yes some of the stuff is made in China.
We have NEVER hidden that fact from the very start with Compstar. Now that being said there are major differences between us and the manupackers out there. Alot of these are reason why we were also one of the last companies to get involved with overseas parts too.
1 - We make cranks and have now for over 45 years (if you include our OEM side of the business)
2 - We actually have employees in the overseas facilities to follow our products and inspect them.
3- We actually supply the raw materials to the manufacturing facilities. That we know what our stuff is made out of and blended to our specs.
Always remember just like anything else in life you get what you pay for....
Now you also know why we charge more for our product vs. the others.

I understand the business aspect of manufacturing VERY WELL. Parts manufactured "over seas" have profit margins in the 1000's due to dirt cheap labor/overhead costs. I am simply not a supporter of communist countries (China) but that does not mean that Callies does not manufacture a quality product per their standards. I recently purchased a Dragonslayer crankshaft so I was hoping that it wasn't made in China. Thanks for the clarification Callies. Now, as to why RC's crank cracked?... I won't speculate. I have my opinions and they have been verified in these few posts.

I will be at the mile as well and it's cool the new owner will be running the RC car as well.
Here's to the LSX stuff vs the exotics and the Supras!
I'm not from Texas, but i think this is about as cool of an event as there is out there. I'm glad someone picked up that bad Vette and is going to bring it. I cant wait to see what it does.
