"most likely the motor is locked"..... "my loss is your gain"... Yeah, that's a great deal. Everyone rush down there and hand the guy 4 bills.

Thats what I was thinking, by the time you factor in parts and labor or your time you would be better off buying a running one

Although it may turnout to be an expensive fix, you'd be suprised how dumb some car dealers are. Hell just talk to one and you'll find out pretty quickly I'm pretty sure no ones going to just hand 4 large over without a rhyme or reason, anyone in their right minds gunna go look at it and draw their own conclusions.

I do think I will venture on over there Wednesday and have a look see. He said it came in running, if that's true, how much could really have happened? Would like to know if it had knock and see a full service history on it, no doubt

You never know what may have happened to it in their hands though. They may have taken it out for a joyride and damaged something. Maybe they did something to keep it from starting to cover up the engine damage. No guaratee, just be careful.

I'm sure they have a mechanic on duty. I'm willing to bet it needs a motor but you never know... If this car was running they would be asking 8-9k for it so to have a mechanic to look it is would be nothing for them.

That thing has been for sale for quite some time already. I think they started from 4995. That same dealer actually has had F-bodies and Mustangs with similar issues also in the past.

I might, i asked him about the engine and he said..

"Oh i haven't really looked it over, it might just be the starter ... (2 second pause) .. or the engine is locked up. Who knows"

I mean i could honestly care less cause i only want the body to drop my ls1 in there. But 4k + tax/title is... not what im looking to pay for a car that doesn't run.
