I went with the ACT twin disk in my C6 since I want to go 9's with under 700rwhp, but I've only made 2 passes slightly above 600rwhp, and can't get under a 1.62 60ft.

Do you mind if I shoot you a PM to get some more details on the clutch details that you are talking about?
Yeah shoot me over a reminder and I will call Matt (NVR4GET aka Lil Powell) in the morning and have him post it or I can relay it to you.

Trust me I was very doubtful at first because I was like how can some kind of coating or whatever they used make a difference. Joe @ LMR and the guys at McLeod were not lying.

Now I don't know the C6 that well, but do you have your front swaybar pulled for the track? I know Matt went from a 1.6X to a 1.5X on motor by just pulling that.

No, it is actually a lowered car in the front on the 1.62 pass. I don't remove anything from the car. I run 1/2 tank and full weight(I'm 6'1", 210). I might get out there early and see if they will let me test n tune. Do you guys have this coating out there? Can it be put in via a remote bleeder? I installed a remote bleeder, and have an extra can or 2 of Amsoil DT 04 clutch fluid. If they have it out there, and it works, I would love to come out there and meet you guys, pay for it, and stick it in my car and make some passes. I just didn't do it today since I added more power friday night and added a cage. After a couple punches on the street, the ACT melts to the floor.

Thanks, Man!

As stated, my stock clutch was toast. I guess that makes me a shitty driver, because I couldn't force the clutch to work. The track was hooking, at my low 600 rwhp power level. Those 345 M/T tires didn't need much of a burnout to stick. They gripped good enough to make the clutch go up in smoke.

My car is an '09 Z06, Maggie and headers. No other mods. Except for a clutch this week....

I'm not worried about the clutch, I had a killer weekend with all of the festivities. I knew it was bound to slip, having experienced it several previous cars at/near this power level. Its held on pretty well for about 5K miles, just not on drag radials. I still want it fixed by TX Mile next weekend, probably start ripping the car apart tomorrow.

That was really sick to watch in person. The guy had made some high 10 second passes at 130-131 mph just a bit earlier.

Hell if you are a shitty driver, then I must be a triple shitty driver with a 6 sp..lol. I have only made 7 passes down the track with my power, it just takes alot of seat time to get it right which I can't seem to get without renting the track

/stock bottom end. 75 shot.

rear tire setup that finnally found a launch after a year or so of testing combos is the c5 rim with a HOOSIEr dot.

I'm interested in this coating as well. I have the same clutch as Mark and while I have not had any problems with it yet, I have yet to track it with the MT ET's. I'm not clear at all on what it is though. A coating on the disk(s)?
