Than how can a 1400rwhp vette run for 5 miles at bonneville at an avg spped of 263mph and not have oiling issues issues? Motor has been running in this car for 5yrs now.

The camaro does make a bit more but the red corvette makes comparable numbers.

I would a think a Bonneville car would be set up with a dry sump oil system. I would like to see one on any engine that is held at wot for any duration.

With this engine we will just have to see what happened. I assure you guys the clearances were triple checked and set up for its intended use & power level. I think we will find that there is an oil starvation issue or something else let go.

I would give any shop the benefit of doubt until they go into it and find out what happend. LME along with most shops stand behind there work. If you are racing to a top speed "race car" anything can happen.

I know Flaco is putting down comparable numbers through a 4l80. And he uses stock style oiling system. With no issues.

The oiling issue is going to be because they are rear mount turbos......Flaco and Bise are front mount there is a huge difference in pushing oil from the front to the back and back to the front for the turbos at that speed and rpm!!!!= oil starvation.....HKE builds bomb proof engines if treated right....

Are you saying that there isn't enough oil to feed the turbos and the engine at the same time?

I am saying with the forces placed on the oiling system under full acceleration the oil is having a hard time returning to the engine...

That isnt teh problem at all if they have a good return pump. A buddy of mine who posts on here as Casey2323 has a 106mm rear mount making well over 1000rwhp for about a year and a half, went 10 flat in a rcsb 99 silverado with only 1st and 3rd gear has had no problems at all with oil starvation due to running a rear mount. Running the stock truck oil pan(6qts) and a ported/shimmed factory oil pump. Something isnt right with your setup and I seriously doubt that is the problem with the LMR vette. Even if it is a build problem I doubt we will hear anything about it on the net like the past problems that have never been posted about...

No its not, you either run dual pumps or Y in to a big single. There is a moderator ont he truck side with a 408 and twin rear mounts that was running just fine til he blew a oil pump fuse and toasted the motor but he didnt have any oil starvation problems due to the pumps not keeping up. What about the STS twin setup for the vettes, plenty of people running those with no problems.
