I understand completely when an 80's model 2-ton sedan with factory 15's and drum brakes is 'blinged out' with 24's that weight several dozen lbs more than the factory wheels... its well-beyond a safety hazard. Same goes for modern SUVs - the factory brakes simply arent designed for heavier, oversized wheels

the kicker is any rule/law that affects more minorities than white folks, it'll be considered 'Racial Profiling'

Plus the fact that some of those 80's POS's have home installed lift kits to fit these oversized rims that are constructed by items used from home depot (such as wood blocks, aluminum piping, etc...)

Like some of the high hp cars on the street aren't worse? You have guys making in excess of 600rwhp now on stock brakes. The only requirement to being behind the wheel of one of these cars is a bank account, which should scare the hell out of you. Did you not see how many **** ups happened over 2K11 weekend? When was the last time you heard of a donked out cutlass wrapping itself around a tree?

I believe in some states they were having to add a modified bumper that was lower than the front bumper of the car in case they hit someone. Welded metal tubes below factory bumper cuz it was worthless 5ft in the air. Either way waste of money.

Get some 22's and tuck em' under the fenderwell. Still heavy, but much better looking and functional.

Its funny that the only pic on that link is of what looks like some BBS 18's!!

They could have done a better job getting a picture of some donk rims.

This took me about 2.5secs to find.

That's ******* stupid, I guess they should ban lifted trucks too. Aside from the tires rubbing which is so ******* annoying they aren't any different than any other car. How do I know? Because I drive them every day. Anything said about a donk can be easily said about some redneck and his jacked up chevy.

What's the difference between an 88 Caprice with 26's and lets say my 99 F250 with 37's? The tires rub on both, they don't stop worth a ****, can't turn worth a **** and are both flashy. Y'all make think it's weird I am standing up for them but if someone doesn't do it, it won't be long before they ban fast cars and jacked up trucks.

Thats your investment buddy. You spend your earnings how ever you feel like it. I would rather spend my money making my car faster. Whats the purpose? None just bragging rights.

I'd be more worried about the ricers that run wide wheels and narrow tires that are bowed out 2" to fit the wheel.

I like making fun of donks, but big brother saying someone can't modify a car is crap. I agree. Its aimed at donks now, but where will it stop? Next may be no more skinnies up front. They don't stop or turn well either.

I don't think out of all the cars I see that these type are the worst, but a large majority are not road worthy. I see quite a collection on my drive home every day.
